The main activity of Hoog Mobility is the rental of electric scooters. So far, the company has provided the service in small towns and settlements in Estonia. In addition, an app taxi service was recently launched in Rapla, and Hoog Delivery will soon be added, allowing locals to order hot meals.
According to the co-founder of the company Holger Ollema, they contemplated in the beginning how to convey in one short word the feeling created by using one of their convenient and making-it-easier-to-live-services through the app. "I remember there were a number of options, but none of them caught up with our ambitious vision of services," Ollema recalls. In search of a simple word symbolizing convenience and speed, the mother of another co-founder, Drevor Andris Rudneves, proposed the word "HOOG" ("BOOST") which was immediately approved by the young entrepreneurs.
Ollema explains that they immediately wanted to make sure that no one else started acting under the same name. "A trade mark is one of the most important assets of any company, which conveys an understanding of what the company is dealing with and who their services/products are aimed at. The greatest benefit of protecting a trade mark is the sense of security and deep sleep. It is knowledge that the brand is protected and no one else can abuse it," Ollema is convinced.
