The Office issued 9 patents (all to Estonians) and registered 36 utility models (23 of them to Estonians).
There were 1,142 applications for European patent enforcement, 1,236 of which were enforced.
The registries held 119 valid patents, 193 utility models, and 11,633 European patents by the end of the year.
Applicants filed 1,061 trade mark registration applications and the Office received 817 international trade mark registrations in which Estonia was a contracting party. Estonians owned 889 and 2, respectively. The Office registered 1,185 national trade marks and enforced 739 international registrations.
The register contained a total of 52,262 valid trade marks, 26,059 of which were national registrations and 26,203 international registrations. Among them 14,371 trade marks belonged to Estonians, followed by Germany with 5,523 and the United States with 3,885 trade marks.
Applicants filed 38 applications for the registration of industrial designs, 27 of which belonged to Estonian applicants, and the Office received 25 applications for international registration of industrial designs filed under the Hague Agreement. 45 designs were entered into the register and 52 international registrations entered into force.
The Estonian Register of Industrial Designs has 806 industrial designs as of December 31, 2022.
