Protection documents in PDF format shall be sent digitally signed to the e-mail address of the patent propietor or their representative. If the proprietor of the patent has not indicated the e-mail address in the application or if the proprietor of the patent or their representative has notified the Patent Office in writing that he or she wishes to receive the certificate on paper, the patent letter will be issued on paper.

The amendment arises from the 8th September 2023 amendment of the Minister of Justice of the regulations concerning intellectual property.
