On the first day, during the training at the Estonian Academy of Arts, technology transfer specialists from universities of the Baltic States enhanced their people management skills and worked in groups to develop strategies for spin-off companies.
The high-level conference on the second day focused on the institutional benefits of the mentoring program and how the public sector supports collaboration between universities and businesses and thereby the whole field of technology transfer. Additionally, certificates were awarded to the graduates of the mentoring program.
In connection with the event, WIPO Deputy Director Marco Aleman visited Tallinn, where he met with representatives from the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Startup Estonia, and Skeleton Technologies.
