On October 23 and 24, a meeting of the intellectual property offices of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania took place in Vilnius, attended by DG-s and heads of departments. During the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed.

According to the agreement, future cooperation will focus on:

  • sharing best practices in the areas of patent granting, trademark and design registration, patent-related rights and data, utility models, the use of artificial intelligence, and other related topics;

  • exchanging knowledge and experience in providing client-oriented services and raising awareness in the field of intellectual property;

  • organizing conferences, symposia, seminars, and other educational events related to intellectual property.

“The cooperation agreement is not merely a formality,” emphasized Janne Andresoo, Director General of the Estonian Patent Office, upon signing the agreement. “Together we are stronger, and by sharing knowledge we create new value.”
