Over the course of two intense work weeks, important issues will be discussed, decisions will be made, and representatives will be selected according to the schedule. On July 7th, Margus Viher delivered a speech expressing Estonia's strong support for WIPO's efforts to bring intellectual property closer to people despite challenging times.

- Estonia joins the statements made on behalf of the European Union by Spain and on behalf of the CEBS group by Poland, and we would like to take the opportunity to emphasize some topics that are particularly important to Estonia.

Innovation must be promoted in every possible way. We are pleased to see that innovation activities are becoming increasingly global, and we closely monitor the WIPO Global Innovation Index and Estonia’s position in it every year.

- With extensive support from WIPO, the first TTO Network Cooperation in the Baltic States has been fully operational since last autumn.
- The role of WIPO Academy in supporting innovation cannot be underestimated.
- Estonia expresses gratitude for the secretariat’s report regarding the provision of assistance and support to Ukraine. The need for continuous long-term support to restore Ukraine’s intellectual property system, which has been damaged due to the aggression war, is evident. Estonia will continue to oppose the Russian Federation's unjustified and provocative war on Ukraine and will stand by it for however long it takes.

Inspiring female designers from Central Europe and the Baltic States, whose innovative works will be displayed at the „She Inspires“ exhibition, will receive special attention during this year’s WIPO Assembly.

- Reet Aus and her Up-shirt produced using the upcycled method
- Annamaria Rennel and her invention Respiray, device which cleans the air from allergens
- Ines-Issa Villido and her green-tech company Filaret, which collects and recycles smokestacks
Furthermore, there will be a fashion show where Kärolin Raadik, an Estonian fashion designer, will display his designs.
