On April 26th, the World Intellectual Property day will be celebrated. In 2018, the World Intellectual Property Day is dedicated to the protection of women's creativity This year's World Intellectual Property Day campaign celebrates the brilliance, ingenuity, curiosity and culture of the women who are driving in our world and shaping our common future.

 In Estonia, the Intellectual Property Day has been celebrated with professional events since the year 2000 when the World Intellectual Property Organisation began to celebrate it (see FAQ on Intellectual Property Day).

 The Patent Office will host a free seminar “Intellectual Property in Business – Whether and How to Protect Our Creation” on April 18th at the Nordic Hotel Forum Conference Centre. At the seminar you will find out what is intellectual property and why is it worth to protect your creation; what are the main options to protect your trade mark or product design in Estonia and abroad; how to act if you think that someone has violated your rights; what are the experiences of two Estonian companies in protecting their product design; what product development subsidies are offered by Enterprise Estonia.
