A new book "International trade mark on the basis of Madrid System. Instructions" has been published in Estonian
In cooperation between the Estonian Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office, a book "International Trade Mark on the basis of Madrid System. Instructions " has been published.
These instructions concern the Madrid system for the international registration of marks, which enables to only file a single application in order to get international protection for a trade mark. The Madrid system, entered into force in 1891, operates under the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks, as well as the Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement.
The edition is helpful to the applicants and owners (or their representatives) of trade marks who wish to protect their trade mark on the basis of the Madrid system, either via Estonian Patent Office or European Union Intellectual Property Office, and maintaining the international registration later.
