Margus Viher will be appointed the Director General of the Estonian Patent Office

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Estonia appointed Margus Viher to the post of Director General of the Estonian Patent Office. He will begin to do his duties on 1 April 2015.

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Estonia appointed Margus Viher to the post of Director General of the Estonian Patent Office. He will begin to do his duties on 1 April 2015.

Margus Viher started his career in the Patent Office as the Head of Information Department in 2000. Since 2005 he has worked as Deputy Director General.

From 1998 until 1999 he was the Deputy Head of Foreign Literature in the National Library of Estonia. From 1995 until 1998 he was the leader of official publications and integrational organisations sector of the Foreign Exchange Department of the National Library. In 1996 he graduated Tallinn University  in the area of Information Sciences.

The former Director General of the Patent Office Matti Päts will retire on 31st March.
