The Estonian Patent Office has published International Patent Classification. Section A – Human Necessities. Classes and Subclasses from English into Estonian. The publication also includes the translation of the notes associated with a class or subclass.

The Office is going to publish the translation of all sections of the 8th edition of the International Patent Classification (IPC):

Section B - Performing Operations; Transporting
Section C - Chemistry; Metallurgy
Section D - Textiles; Paper
Section E - Fixed Constructions
Section F - Mechanical Engineering; Lighting; Heating; Weapons; Blasting
Section G - Physics
Section H - Electricity

These publications are useful for inventors, patent examiners, patent attorneys and the others in determining the state of art of the invention and on the basis of it in determining the novelty and the inventive step.

The publication is on sale for 46 EEK both in the Patent Library and the Receiving Department of the Estonian Patent Office.
