In the framework of the Harmonised Seniority database project initiated by the OHIM Cooperation Fund Programme
the public trademark database of the Estonian Patent Office has been upgraded.

In the upgraded database information regarding seniority is displayed at making a trademark search wherever seniority is requested. The upgraded database contains a hyperlink to the trademarks in the database of OHIM.

Accurate information regarding seniority is important for Community trademarks owners who have previously registered an identical mark in an EU member state which has been surrendered or allowed to lapse. Seniority request enables Community trademarks owners to  maintain the same rights they would have had when the earlier trademark would have still been registered.
